Nature's Bounty Block of the Month
Nature’s Bounty
Block of the Month Quilt
Stitch a forest of native New Zealand flora and fauna in delicious hand-dyed wool. Over 30 little critters; birds, flowers, berries and bugs, will adorn your quilt in an array of vibrant and earthy tones.
The wool is a mix of hand dyed vintage NZ wool and new wool with a variety of textures, and the threads are carefully chosen to bring out the beautiful realistic features of the wild-life on the quilt.
All stitches on the quilt are referenced to Sue Spargo’s ‘Creative Stitching’ book, and instructions are included for any extra stitches used.
Designed by Kerry Elton of Tauranga, her original quilt featured in the April 2025 publication of ‘Threads’, the official magazine of the Association of NZ Embroiderers. In collaboration with Sue Roper, from Pink Possum Quilting, they are proud to be offering this stunning quilt to you as a Block of the Month.
The programme lasts for 12 months and will include the pattern, all background and applique fabrics, embellishment threads, freezer paper, backing and binding fabrics and any trims or embellishments needed. The finished quilt is approximately 1000mm w x 1120 h.
The cost will be $NZ75 per month, plus postage.
